Outcome of discussions at the ISWAT 2025 Working Meeting: Mini-ISWATs can be organized on any topics, at any location, and at any time between Full-Week ISWAT Working Meetings. Mini-ISWATs can be attached to other conferences/workshops by invitation of workshop organisers (e.g., ESWW). Duration: 1-2 days or 1-2 sessions. Sessions are organised by team leads and cluster moderators.  

  • Mini-ISWAT @ SolarAI 2026

The mini-ISWAT Working Meeting will take place on Friday 21st August, 2026 during the GSST/CBERS-5 International Symposium on Machine Learning in Heliophysics and Space Weather which will be held at the National Institute for Space Research (INPE) in São José dos Campos/SP, Brazil (click here for details)

  • Heliophysics Open Modeling Environment (HOME) - New Overarching Activity 

    • HOME Overarching Activity is uniting and giving voice to all scientists and software engineers with primary expertise in modeling and model-related software, as well as those using models and simulation results in their research.
    • To join HOME: fill the Join ISWAT form and select O5 Cluster
    • Action Teams focused on specific models or groups of models, or topics related to advancing open science in modeling are encouraged to register to the O5 cluster
    • A paper "Advancing Heliophysics and Space Weather Modeling Through Open Science" (Corti et al., 2026), where the HOME initiative is introduced, has been submitted to the Space Weather Journal.  The preprint is available at ESS Open Archive https://doi.org/10.22541/essoar.176824639.92354528/v1
